Results Round Up
Our sports teams and cultural performers continued on their winnings ways this past weekend, with the HBHS 1st XI Football team getting us off to a flying start beating St John's College 3 - 1. Unfortunately, our Senior Premier Basketball team was not able to overcome a very strong St John's College team on Friday night at St John's. The 1st and 2nd XV Rugby teams had convincing away wins over Rotorua Boys' High School on Saturday, and our musicians were utterly dominant at the Waikato Smokefree RockQuest Regional finals. Albert Street, consisting of HBHS and Hamilton Christian School musicians finished 1st, and Subjective Orange, with an all-HBHS lineup, finished in 3rd place. It is worth noting that Casper, which finished 2nd, features HBHS Old Boy musicians, so we are claiming the clean sweep! Year 12 student Zak Trenwith, from Albert Street, won the Musicianship Award, and Subjective Orange won the ZM Best Song Award for "4424". Congratulations to all of these boys on their efforts.
