Further to Today's Lockdown
Today the school was instructed to go into Lockdown by the Ministry of Education and NZ Police.
This Lockdown was real as there was a person in the immediate vicinity of the school that the Police had identified as being a genuine threat to the school.
We initiated our Lockdown procedures and after about 30 minutes the Police were able to lift the Lockdown.
All procedures were followed by students and staff and everyone was safe.
Today's Lockdown was a timely reminder that our Lockdown procedures are very important to the safety of the students and staff at Hamilton Boys' High School.
